One of my own pieces, “Surf”, took more than simply pressing a button and hoping for a favorable outcome. I wandered around the beach searching for the perfect angle at which I would use my camera. After I settled in the exact place, I needed to decide where my picture would start and end from at all sides. I wanted to capture the stillness of the ocean, while also including the exciting waves. I enhanced the warm sunset to create a peace of mind and enjoyment.
My sunset and contrasting landscape picture called “Crater”, is one of my most intriguing pieces of work. I took in many suggestions and used the critiques of my peers to successfully give a calm feeling while viewing it. I started with little color and almost no contrast. To improve the quality, I increased contrast, saturation, and adjusted the dimensions. I decided to turn my picture ninety degrees to the right and cropped it.
With my work, I can only wish to achieve all of these factors and give others the same emotions I receive from learning my way around a camera. I will continue to discover more advanced techniques in grabbing a memory from nature.
